day 33

My 10 year old and I drove passed a considerable amount of litter on Gifford Street today. I suggested we stop and gather it up. He countered with the obvious:

“It’s cold. Let’s pick it up in the summer.”

I explained the catch 22 of litter pick up.

“In the summer it’s warmer but the undergrowth is all grown in so the litter’s harder to see. Plus there’s poison ivy.”

So we reached a compromise. We’ll go back in late March.
